I heard so clearly, "See, that's the problem. You are missing what's right in front of you because it is not packaged the way YOU think it should be."
In order to help achieve my goals for this year, I have assigned specific tasks to specific days. Yesterday was a reading day. I was going back and forth thinking about which book I should read and started looking at some of the writings in my journal. Before I realized it, I had gotten lost in them. That's when I heard it. I was so busy looking for revelation and inspiration in someone else's writings that I was overlooking the treasure that was already in my hand. That journal contained my own personal promises and answers to promises from God. That was exactly what I needed yesterday - to be reminded of His goodness. Let's stop overlooking what we already have in our hand because we're so busy looking in someone else's.
